To understand how it works and what can you expect from it
Our goal is not to give you a list of all the 1,000s of places you can go. We want you to have an outstanding trip, so we either love it or don’t include it at all.
Reviews are great but many times your mum and your best friend will disagree on what “a great place to eat” means. We measure everything by our own terms, so if you like our style, you’ll never be disappointed.
We’re constantly adding new points and updating old ones. Guides are great but have a very short lifespan. We’ve built this to last.
Guides can be forgotten, lost or too big to fit the tiny bags allowed on an airplane. You can access this map wherever you have internet connection. No need to install an app or carry anything other than your phone.
Need to get from where you are to a point in the map? No need to type long Catalan names in Google Maps, just click a button and directions will automatically appear on Google Maps.
8,266 people have used an old map we had and 20,000+ people are getting travel advice every month from our blog.
So we built this one to help them (and you) even more.
Hey!
This is Marc, co-founder of Unexpected Catalonia.
On average, people do a ~2-week trip per year. They save all year to spend some time doing what they like, with the people they love wherever they want.
At the same time, countless hours are wasted trying to find the right info, deciding where eat or planning the itineraries.
We created Unexpected Catalonia for people who want to make their trip unforgettable without wasting a single minute or cent in an average place, doing a boring plan or eating dull meal.
This map is a custom-built tool to help our readers (and anyone interested) plan a unique trip to Barcelona, the Pyrenees, Costa Brava or anywhere else inCatalonia or Andorra, as fast as possible and with the confidence that you can't make a bad choice.
I hope you find it useful and if you need more info, feel free to check out our blog, join our newsletter or book a premium consultation with us.
Safe and exciting travels!
Marc
